Opportunities for further education at home opened for 149 applicants from Ukraine who have sought refuge in Hungary

This year, 149 applicants from Ukraine registered in Hungary for the National Multi-subject Test (NMT), which was organized by the Educational Authority (OH) and Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), with the significant contribution of instructors from the Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian University (RE) in Berehove.

In Ukraine, the successful completion of the NMT is a prerequisite for continuing higher education. Due to the protracted Russian-Ukrainian war, many graduating students have been forced to leave their homeland. To ensure that students displaced from their home country can also apply to Ukrainian higher education institutions, it has been possible to take the NMT abroad since 2022.

In Hungary, the Educational Authority and ELTE—with the effective cooperation of experts from the RE—have now been ensuring the smooth and reliable organization and secure conduct of the test for the fifth year. This year, the NMT took place between June 3 and June 9.
