On June 16–17, 2026, an international scientific conference titled Civitas Rakocziana was held in Prešov, organized by the Prešovská univerzita v Prešove, the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church, and the Krajské múzeum v Prešove. Among the speakers at the forum were Dr. György Csatáry and Dr. Barnabás Kész, faculty members of the Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian University.
The researchers’ presentations were titled “Ferenc Rakoczi II’s decrees written to the Greek Catholics” and “The mysterious portraits of Ferenc Rakoczi and Ilona Zrínyi in the Museum of the Debrecen Reformed College,” respectively. Numerous researchers from East-Central Europe participated in the international conference, where a total of 45 papers were presented. The event also featured impromptu book presentations.
