“Máramarosh” Training Hotel
The “Máramarosh” Training Hotel is an educational division of the Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian University (UR), located in the scenic settlement of Yasinya—one of the most beautiful villages in the Upper Tisza region. The facility primarily serves as a base for field practices for students majoring in Geography, Biology, and Tourism, while also providing comfortable temporary accommodation for guests.
The primary goal of the training hotel is to provide students with the opportunity to gain practical knowledge directly in a natural environment. The location is ideal for professional fieldwork, thematic excursions, and nature observation, as well as for hosting educational and cultural programs aimed at supporting the local Hungarian community.
Thanks to its strategic location, the facility serves as an excellent starting point for exploring Hoverla—Ukraine’s highest peak—and the surrounding national parks. During the winter season, the hotel attracts visitors frequenting nearby ski resorts, such as Drahobrat and Bukovel.
The training hotel operates not as a commercial tourist enterprise, but as an educational center offering cozy living conditions. The facility features:
- Capacity: 22 rooms (primarily double rooms).
- Amenities: A dining room with a hot kitchen, a conference hall for lectures and training sessions, and a sauna.
