Division of Publishing

The Division of Publishing of the Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian University is not an independent legal entity; it operates as the organizational unit responsible for the publishing activities of the university.

Its objective is to disseminate the intellectual achievements and the educational and scientific results of the University in the form of high-quality printed and/or electronic publications, as well as to provide a wide range of high-standard publishing opportunities for the University’s instructors, researchers, and students.

The activities and operational procedures of the Division of Publishing are governed by the Law of Ukraine “On Publishing Activities,” the University’s Charter, and the institution’s internal regulations. The Division operates in accordance with its own operational regulations, which are approved by the Scientific Council of the University and enacted by the Rector’s decree.

Tasks and Forms of Publishing Activity

  • Publishing copyrighted educational materials related to the University’s academic programs (such as textbooks, lecture notes, and other instructional resources) in printed and/or electronic form.
  • Publishing scientific works and other copyrighted materials authored by individuals employed by the University, those with an equivalent legal relationship, as well as by students.
  • Editing and publishing the University’s peer-reviewed journals in printed and/or electronic formats, in close cooperation with the institution’s research centers and academic departments.
  • Editing, designing, and publishing official and representative materials connected to the University’s educational and scientific activities — including grade books, diplomas, certificates, admission posters and brochures, and programs for opening and closing ceremonies.
  • Re-publishing significant works related to the history, scientific, and cultural life of Transcarpathia — particularly written heritage — as part of activities utilizing the Division’s spare capacity.
