Scholars from the Department of Accounting and Auditing Participated in the III International Financial Forum “Modern Finance: National Resilience, Security, and Innovative Leadership”

From 13 to 17 May 2026, Professors Viktoria Makarovych and Nina Poyda-Nosyk participated online in the III International Financial Forum “MODERN FINANCE: NATIONAL RESILIENCE, SECURITY, AND INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP”, held in Ternopil at the West Ukrainian National University.

The Forum served as a powerful international platform for professional dialogue, bringing together leading scientists, representatives of public authorities, financial institutions, businesses, and the international academic community.

A prominent place in the Forum’s programme was given to discussions on the transformation of the financial landscape amid contemporary global challenges, ensuring financial resilience and security, the development of digital financial technologies, the improvement of accounting and analytical systems, and the introduction of modern approaches to financial control and risk management. Considerable attention was devoted to public finance development, tax policy, digitalisation of the economy, international financial cooperation, and the adaptation of professional practice to the conditions of wartime and the post-war period.

The scholarly approaches, analytical findings, and practical case studies presented at the Forum are of significant value for further academic research and for enhancing the educational process within the degree programmes “Financial Protection”, “Accounting and Taxation”, and “International Accounting and Taxation”. The issues discussed will facilitate the updating of curriculum content, the development of students’ contemporary professional competencies, and a stronger practice-oriented approach to training specialists in line with current trends in the financial, accounting, analytical, and taxation spheres.

Such international forums are an important venue for developing academic cooperation, exchanging experience, generating new scholarly ideas, and seeking effective solutions to contemporary global challenges.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers of the Forum, namely the West Ukrainian National University, for the high standard of organization, stimulating discussions, professional atmosphere, and the opportunity to take part in such a significant international academic event.
