On 8–9 October 2026, students of the Department of Accounting and Finance attended the 3rd International Research Conference “Money & Banking: Monetary Reforms”, organised by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) online.
Their participation took place within the activities of the student research groups at the bachelor’s level (supervisors: Gabriella Loskorikh, PhD, Associate Professor, and Kateryna Sochka, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor) and the master’s level (supervisor: Veronika Hanusych, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor), Financial Literacy Week, and the courses “Money and Credit” and “Finance, Money and Credit”.
The conference gave students an excellent opportunity to connect the theory from their courses with real-world examples of central bank practice: how changes in money circulation are planned and implemented, and how the public is involved in decisions on redesigning banknotes and coins. Participation in professional events like this is an important part of modern education. Such events allow students to explore how different countries have carried out monetary reforms, deepen their understanding of the role of the National Bank of Ukraine and the banking system in regulating the financial sector, and develop their research and analytical skills.
We thank the National Bank of Ukraine and the NBU Money Museum for the opportunity to attend the conference and learn from Ukrainian and international experts.
