On 1 October 2026, bachelor’s and master’s students of the Department of Accounting and Finance, studying in the specialities “Accounting and Taxation” and “Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Exchange”, visited the Berehove Office of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Region.
The Head of the Office, Hleba Oleksandra Yuriyivna, introduced the students to the organisational structure of the institution, its main areas of activity, and the specific features of its work under current conditions. During the meeting, the participants discussed practical aspects of treasury servicing of the state and local budgets, the role of Treasury bodies in the budget process, as well as accounting and control in the field of public finance. Particular attention was paid to the role of tax revenues in the formation of budget revenues, as well as to the functions, powers and responsibilities of chief administrators and administrators of budget funds and their interaction with Treasury bodies in the process of budget execution. Oleksandra Yuriyivna also explained the requirements for applicants seeking employment with the State Treasury Service, highlighting the professional knowledge, practical skills and personal qualities required for successful work in this field.
Such professionally oriented meetings are an important component of the professional training of students in accounting and finance, as they provide an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the work of public financial institutions and to deepen their understanding of budget management, financial control and managerial decision-making.
