The Kölcsey Ferenc Professional Boarding School opened its doors in 2001, and the need to establish a student self-government emerged very soon after. Its primary purpose was to ensure that students could actively participate in decisions affecting them, while also enriching dormitory life with diverse programs and activities. The organization was officially registered in Ukraine in 2019.
In the 2023/2024 academic year, a team of 13 members — including 10 returning students — works to make dormitory life more engaging and enjoyable for residents. The student self-government organizes both regular and special events. While many of the programs are designed for entertainment or charitable purposes, significant emphasis is also placed on cultural and scientific events. Key regular programs include:
