Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian University hosted a working meeting with representatives of the British Embassy in Ukraine. The University welcomed Irina Bezkorovaina, Foreign Policy Adviser, and Svitlana Yavorska, Head of the Lviv Office and Policy and Programmes Coordinator.
The meeting was attended by Sándor Berghauer, Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Affairs, Nataliia Varadi, Head of the Adult Education Centre, as well as members of the Presidium of the Student Self-Government, Milán Rácz and Sofiia Kedebets-Volokhina.
During the meeting, the guests were introduced to the University, its organisational structure, main areas of activity, and its educational and research profile. The participants discussed current issues in higher education, opportunities for future cooperation, and the challenges faced by university students.
The representatives of the British Embassy drew particular attention to international grant and scholarship opportunities available to students, encouraging the Student Self-Government to take an active role in international programmes and projects that support students’ professional development and international academic engagement.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants agreed to further strengthen their cooperation in the future, with a particular focus on expanding opportunities for students and developing joint educational and youth initiatives.
