A Research Ethics Committee has been established at Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian University, and it held its first meeting on 2 September 2026.
The Committee aims to support ethical and responsible research at the University and to help ensure that research is carried out in line with accepted academic standards. Its main tasks include considering research ethics issues and reviewing research projects that require approval from the Committee.
At its first meeting, the members discussed the basic principles of the Committee’s work, its main tasks and the key steps of the research ethics review process. The Committee’s work will help strengthen the quality, transparency and ethical standards of research carried out at the University.
