Stakeholder Meeting on the Improvement of Educational Programmes at the Department of Accounting and Auditing
On 20 March 2026, the Department of Accounting and Auditing held a working meeting with stakeholders as part of the internal quality assurance procedures for higher education.
The meeting was dedicated to reviewing the content, structure, and relevance of three educational programmes:
- EP “Accounting and Taxation” — first (bachelor’s) level of higher education;
- EP “Financial Protection” — first (bachelor’s) level of higher education;
- EP “International Accounting and Taxation” — second (master’s) level of higher education.
The purpose of the event was to ensure that the educational programmes meet current labour market requirements, enhance their practical orientation, and incorporate recommendations from employers, representatives of public authorities, the business sector, and the academic community.
The event brought together representatives of the professional environment, public authorities, business, and the academic and educational sphere, including: certified auditors, heads of financial and social institutions, business representatives, scholars and lecturers from leading higher education institutions of Ukraine, as well as representatives of educational platforms and analytical companies. Among the invited stakeholders who joined the discussion (both online and in person) were:

- Inna Makarenko, Doctor of Economics, Professor, ACCA DipIFR, MSCA4Ukraine Fellow, Lecturer at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Helsinki; Professor at the Department of Accounting and Taxation, Sumy State University (Helsinki);

- Liudmyla Novichenko, Certified Auditor, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting, Audit and Taxation, National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Audit (Kyiv);
- Erika Yuhas, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor at the Department of Finance, Accounting and Taxation, Uzhhorod Institute of Trade and Economics of DTEU (Uzhhorod).

- Vasyl Hankovych, Head of the Social Protection Department, Berehove District State Administration (Berehove);
- Liudmyla Deviatko, Chief Accountant, LLC “Bereh TV” (Berehove);
- Eva Ehreshi, Director, LLC “Euros” (Berehove);
- Oksana Lynchak, Manager of the Educational Division, YouControl (Kyiv);
- Kateryna Turianytsia, Chief Accountant, LLC “Sky Management”;
- Ivan Furyk, Director, LLC “STM TRADE”.
During the meeting, the stakeholders confirmed that the educational programmes in the specialties “Accounting and Taxation” and “Finance, Banking, Insurance and the Stock Market” comply with the requirements of the national quality assurance system for education. Particular attention was paid to:
- alignment of the programmes with professional standards and labour market needs;
- integration of sustainable development approaches into the content of educational components;
- incorporation of International Financial Reporting Standards and development of students’ competencies in the field of financial reporting taxonomy;
- introduction of modern digital tools and analytical platforms into the educational process;
- alignment of bachelor’s and master’s level training content with the National Qualifications Framework;
- expansion of cooperation with employers and their involvement in the educational process.
The stakeholders provided valuable recommendations on updating the content of educational components, improving teaching and assessment methods, and developing the professional competencies of students.
The proposals received will be taken into account in the further development of the educational programmes with a view to enhancing their quality, competitiveness, and responsiveness to contemporary challenges.
