Participation of members of the Student Scientific Group of the Department of Accounting and Auditing in the II International Scientific Conference «Money & Banking: The History and the Future of Money»

Students, within the framework of the activities of the Scientific Group «Research of accounting, financial and economic aspects of functioning of economic entities at the micro, meso and macroeconomic levels» supervised by dr. Gabriella Loskorikh and dr. Kateryna Sochka) and as part of studying the courses «Money and Credit» and «Finance, Money and Credit», joined as online participants the ІІ International Scientific Conference «Money & Banking: The History and the Future of Money», organized by the National Bank of Ukraine on September 18–19, 2025.

During the conference students had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the history of money and monetary circulation, the development of banks and banking, observe the combination of historical analysis and modern technologies in the study of money, assess the role of design in protecting banknotes, and become acquainted with modern digital solutions in financial sphere.

The participation of students in this type of activities is an important part of the modern educational process, as it provides an opportunity to learn about current research in the history of money and banking and to meet leading scholars, experts and practitioners of financial sector. It also helps them to understand the role of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) and the banking system in regulating economic processes, promotes the development of research and analytical thinking, and raises awareness of the links between the historical aspects of the development of money and the challenges of modern financial transformation.    

We are sincerely grateful to the NBU and the Museum of Money of NBU for the opportunity to learn about modern approaches to the history of money and the prospects for the development of hryvnia in current transformational conditions.
