Acta Academiae Beregsasiensis, Philologica has been included in the DOAJ database
In October 2025, the journal Acta Academiae Beregsasiensis, Philologica, published by the Department of Philology, was accepted for inclusion in the international database Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), which indexes open access scholarly journals. This milestone not only strengthens the academic recognition of the journal but also contributes to enhancing the international visibility of the research output of Rákóczi University and the scientific community of Transcarpathia.
DOAJ is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious open access scholarly databases, currently listing more than 22,000 peer-reviewed journals. Inclusion in the database requires compliance with strict quality and ethical standards, among which transparency in editorial practices, independent peer review, proper management of copyright, and the consistent application of open access principles play a key role.
Being indexed in DOAJ is an important recognition for the Editorial Board, as well as for the authors and reviewers, who have worked diligently in recent years to enhance the academic quality of the journal. The decision confirms that Acta Academiae Beregsasiensis, Philologica meets international standards of scholarly publishing and serves as a reliable source for researchers interested in linguistics and literary studies worldwide.
