On this day in 1825, István Széchenyi offered one year’s income from his estates to establish the Hungarian Learned Society, laying the foundation of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Our department organizes this event annually around this date to promote a science-centered value system and recognize the activities that contribute to the cultivation and advancement of science. |

Advent wreaths, door wreaths, and table decorations are made. The proceeds from the sale of the finished products are used for charitable purposes. |
